Loco Scavenger Hunt 5k

Run through the woods, on marked trails, searching for clues to help fill your team's goodie bag, all while enjoying gorgeous views of the canyons, wildflowers, Butte Creek and the company of your friends and family! Work together to solve riddles to get you and your team to the next station. Hit all 5 check in stations and make it back to the finish line first with all of your items and your team takes 1st Place!

Total distance is 5k...unless your team has to go back for a clue! Your turn around point is at the historical Ewalt Camp, where Blue Bridge crosses over the crystal clear waters of Butte Creek. The Loco Scavenger Hunt course uses most of the same route as the Forest Ranch Four 4 mile route.

Kids 5 are welcome to join on teams with adult friends and family! We ask that all Children younger than 11 join a team with at least one teammate 16+ years old.

Camping is available near the start line, after the race. A great choice for anyone also running The Forest Ranch 4, on Sunday or for anyone looking for a fantastic way to spend a fun time with friends or family!

All runners who register by midnight on March 15th are guaranteed to receive a official Loco Scavenger Hunt goodie bag and limited edition finishers medallion.

Packet pick up on race morning, at the start line, from 8:15am-8:45am. There will be a race briefing at 8:45am.

$35 Per  Adult & Children Older than 9 Until 2/1/20

$40 Per Adult & Children Older than 9 After 2/1/20

*Children 9 and under who would like a medallion & scavenger bag are $20

*Children 9 and under who DO NOT want a medallion & scavenger bag are free

Registration price is per person. Runners register individually after team captain registers. Runners enter their team name during registration.

FROM CHICO: Head up Highway 32, towards Forest Ranch. Once you hit the HWY 32/Nopel Ave intersection, in Forest Ranch, it is approximately 8.3 miles up HWY 32 on the right hand side. Watch for event and event parking signs. Parking will be just before and after the yellow gate that you see when you pull off og HWY 32. DO NOT park directly at the start/finish line. You will need to park and walk just a short distance down the dirt road to the start line. Follow the signs.

FROM ALMANOR/CHESTER/SUSANVILLE AREA:

Come down HWY 32, towards Forest Ranch. Approximately 4.9 miles past the HWY 32/Humboldt Rd intersection (the turn to Butte Meadows), the start line will be on your left. Watch for event and event parking signs. Parking will be just before and after the yellow gate that you see when you pull off og HWY 32. DO NOT park directly at the start/finish line. You will need to park and walk just a short distance down the dirt road to the start line. Follow the signs.
