Run Hard. Party Harder.
The party starts at 8:30pm! Party Animals run the night with the 100 mile runners. Choose from a 5k or a 28k and get ready to party hard! All distances head down Carpenter Ridge and visit one or both of our Party Animal aid stations. Costumes and shinanagins are highly encouraged on this outrageously awesome course! Bring all the high fives because not only are you Party Animals but you are literally BRINGING THE PARTY to the 100 mile course. We want Party Animal runners to have the time of their lives while infusing life back in to our Loco 100 mile runners, who have been at it since 5am! All Party Animal Runners are invited to party at the finish line and cheer on the 100k and 100 mile runners as they come through the finish. The Bambi Inn serves tasty adult beverages for purchase and we serve Loco Nachos (until 12am), included in your registration. Race starts at 8:30pm. Pre-race packet pick up is the same as for The Loco Challenge (TBA). Register by May 1st to guarantee your swag!

The Course
The first & last mile of the 5k course is paved, lined with trees and full of all the fresh mountain air you could ask for! The mile in the middle is a nice, wide dirt logging road that follows the creek. At your turn around point, you will find the Loco Party Animals, waiting for your arrival, complete with disco lights, music and costumes, ready to refill your water, or other tasty beverage, and get you on your way or dance with you in to the night, cheering on other runners. It's up to you, how you want party!

The Course
The first & last mile of the 28k course are paved, lined with trees and full of all the fresh mountain air you could ask for! The miles in the middle are on wide, dirt logging roads & trails. The course follows the creek for a couple miles and then continues down Carpenter ridge to the 2nd Party Animal Aid Station. This is a fantastic choice for runners looking to get some night miles in or any runner looking to have a great time and let loose! Just like the disco aid station that you visited at the 5k turn around, this station is ready to party...are you?! Whether you need a quick refuel to win the race or you want to stay and cheer on 100 milers and fellow Party Animal 28k runners the choice is yours!
